Motion: Better Bus Services

This Union Notes:
  1. That during peak times, not all students are able to use the free cross-campus bus service.
  2. That the peak times for students using this service are September/October and January through to April.
  3. There are no permanent bus time tables available at designated bus stops for this service.

This Union Believes:
  1. All students are entitled to the free cross-campus bus service
  2. The free bus service is essential to a lot of Northumbria students
  3. Due to difficulties with the free bus, more students are driving to University which has a direct impact on the car parking at Coach Lane.

This Union Resolves:
  1. For the Students’ Union to lobby the University into providing bigger or more busses during peak travel times for our students.
  2. To mandate the Vice-President Academic Affairs and Vice-President Welfare and Equality to look into the possibility of placing permanent bus time tables upon designated bus stops.
